How to play Color Dash
Color Dash is a reaction-runner about one skill: seeing color fast. Your neon ship cruises automatically through deep space while glowing gates stream toward you in four colors — pink, cyan, green and gold. Before your ship reaches a gate, switch to that gate's color. Match it and you sail through for a point; arrive in the wrong color and the run ends in sparks. Gates arrive quicker and closer together the longer you survive, turning a casual color callout into a reflex workout.
Controls
Press 1, 2, 3, 4 (or Q, W, E, R) to switch your ship's color instantly. On touchscreens, tap the four color buttons under the canvas — each shows its number and color name. ▶ Start Game launches a run and ↺ Restart starts over after a crash. There is no cooldown, so you can mash through colors, but deliberate presses score better.
Tips & strategy
Keep your fingers resting on 1–4 and your eyes fixed on the next gate, not your ship — the ship updates instantly, the gate does not wait. Consecutive gates often repeat colors, so resist the urge to press something on every approach. When two gates of different colors come close together, pre-switch for the farther one the moment the near one passes. Ignore your streak if it tempts you to rush — one wrong color ends everything, while patience costs nothing. On mobile, use two thumbs across the four buttons for the fastest switches.
Scoring
Every gate you pass in the matching color is worth 1 point, plus a streak bonus: pass five gates in a row and each further gate earns an extra point while the streak holds. A crash resets the streak to zero along with the run. Your highest score is saved in your browser, so chase the perfect rainbow run.
