How to play Neon Air Hockey

Neon Air Hockey is a fast reflex duel on a glowing rink: you control the cyan mallet on the bottom half, and a magenta AI keeper guards the top. Drag your mallet into the puck to knock it around — the faster your mallet is moving at contact, the harder the shot. Slip the puck through the rival's goal slot at the top to score; the keeper scores by slipping it through yours at the bottom. The first side to 7 goals wins the match. After every goal the puck resets to center with a short countdown, then serves toward a random side. Your total match wins are saved on the device.

Controls

Mallet: press/touch and drag anywhere on the rink — the mallet chases your finger or cursor (desktop mouse works too). Power shots: flick or swipe through the puck instead of pushing it slowly. Pause: P or the Pause button. Restart: Space or Enter on the end screens, or the Play Again button.

Tips & strategy

Don't chase the puck — cut off angles. Park your mallet between the puck and your goal when defending, and strike from the side to aim: hitting the puck's left edge sends it right, and vice versa. Bank shots off the side rails to get around the keeper, which camps near its goal mouth. The AI is fast but commits early — fake a shot one way, then drag across and smash the other way. Keep your mallet low and centered on defense; most conceded goals come from over-chasing into the top half and leaving your slot open. Short, sharp flicks beat wild swings: control first, power second.

Scoring

Each goal counts 1 point — no combos, no multipliers, just a race to 7. Win the match and your 🏆 Wins tally in the header goes up by one and is saved on the device. A 7–0 shutout means you never let the keeper breathe; a 7–6 thriller means your defense needs work. Rematches are instant — the puck is always one tap away.
