How to play Neon Beat Tap
Neon Beat Tap is a neon rhythm game with no notes to read and nothing to download: glowing pulse rings bloom from the core of the arena on a steady beat and expand outward. A fixed target circle waits at a set radius. Your job is simple — tap (click, tap, or Space) at the exact moment a pulse ring crosses the target circle. The rings travel at a constant speed, so once you feel the tempo, you can anticipate every hit.
Controls
On desktop, click anywhere on the arena or press the Spacebar to tap. On phones and tablets, just tap the arena. One tap = one judgement, graded against the nearest pulse.
Tips & strategy
Watch two or three pulses before your first tap to lock in the tempo — the first beats are free calibration. Tap slightly ahead of what your eyes tell you: the grade is measured at the exact crossing instant. Empty taps (no pulse near) count as a Miss and break your combo, so don't mash. Combo raises your multiplier, so surviving all 16 pulses of a track cleanly is worth far more than a few lucky Perfects.
Scoring
Each pulse is graded Perfect (within 70 ms, 100 pts), Good (within 150 ms, 50 pts) or Miss (0 pts). Your combo multiplies points: 1 + combo × 0.05, up to ×3. Accuracy = (Perfects + 0.6 × Goods) ÷ total pulses; ranks run S / A / B / C / D. Your best total score is saved in your browser.
