How to play Neon Bowling
Neon Bowling is a glowing take on the classic lane game, squeezed into three fast frames. Each throw has three steps: first slide the ball left or right to pick your starting spot, then a sweeping arrow sets your direction, and finally an oscillating power meter decides how hard you throw. Lock each one in and the ball rolls — scatter the 10 neon pins, watch them chain-react into each other, and chase the perfect game of 30.
Controls
- Position: Arrow keys (or drag the ball sideways) until it sits where you want to start.
- Aim: Press Space (or tap) to freeze the swinging aim arrow.
- Power: Press Space (or drag up on the power bar) to freeze the meter, then the ball releases.
- Mouse/touch: Drag horizontally to position, tap to lock aim, drag up on the meter to lock power.
- Restart: Press R or the Restart button for a fresh game at any time.
Tips & strategy
A centered ball with a straight-up aim is the safest strike line, but a pocket hit just off-center chains pins into each other harder. Watch the arrow's sweep timing — it accelerates as you wait, so locking early is steadier. The top fifth of the meter sends the ball into the gutter more often than it earns strikes; mid-high power plus a good line beats a max-power spray.
Scoring
You get three frames with up to two throws each. A strike (all 10 pins on the first throw) scores 10 plus your next two throws as bonus; a spare (all 10 across both throws) scores 10 plus your next throw. Open frames score exactly the pins you knocked down. A perfect three-frame game is 30 points — chase it.
