How to play Neon Breakout
Neon Breakout is the arcade classic drenched in glow: slide your energy paddle, keep the plasma ball in play, and shatter every brick on the wall. Most bricks break in one hit, but armored bricks need 2–3 hits and crack as they weaken — golden bonus bricks pay out 150 points each. Clear the whole wall to jump to the next level, where the ball flies faster and the armor gets thicker.
Controls
On desktop, move the paddle with your mouse or the ← → arrow keys (A / D work too). On phones and tablets, drag your finger anywhere on the arena. Click, tap, or press Space to launch the ball — and once the laser power-up is active, the same action fires bolts.
Tips & strategy
Shattered bricks drop power-ups: M splits the ball into a multi-ball swarm, W stretches your paddle wide, and L arms a laser cannon for a few seconds. Aim the ball into tight clusters for big combo cascades, and use laser bolts to pick off high armored bricks without risking a bad bounce. With multi-ball active, don't chase — park the paddle under the lowest ball and let the rest rain chaos.
Scoring
Standard bricks are worth 50 points, cracked armored bricks pay more, steel-core bricks 100, and golden bonus bricks 150. Clearing a full level banks a 250-point bonus. You have 3 lives per run — your best score is saved in your browser.
