How to play Neon Cannon Duel
Neon Cannon Duel is a turn-based artillery showdown on a glowing battlefield. Your plasma cannon faces off against a CPU cannon across rolling neon terrain, and the first side to land 3 direct hits wins the duel. You take turns: on your turn, set your barrel angle and shell power, read the wind, and fire. Then the CPU answers — and it learns from its misses, so it gets more dangerous every round.
Plasma shells fly in an arc shaped by gravity and pushed sideways by the wind, which shifts after every single shot. Terrain is destructible: near-misses carve craters into the ground, so the battlefield keeps changing under you. A hit means your shell lands right on the enemy cannon — close is not enough.
Controls
- Angle: ↑ / ↓ (15°–85°)
- Power: ← / → (20–100)
- Fire: Space
- Touch / mouse: drag from your cannon to aim and set power, then tap the fire button
Reading the wind
The wind gauge sits at the top of the battlefield and changes after every turn. A rightward wind carries your shell toward the enemy and drags long shots past the target; a leftward wind holds shells up and drops them short. Wind matters most at high power and long flight times, so adjust a few degrees or a few points of power for strong gusts — and remember the CPU's shots are pushed around by the same wind.
Tips & strategy
Start with medium power and watch where your first shell lands; each miss is data. High arcs shrug off wind but give the enemy's position away slowly, while flat, fast shots are wind-proof but unforgiving on angle. Because the CPU adapts, don't let a duel drag on — dial in quickly and finish it. Craters reshape the ground, so a shot that worked on turn one may bury itself on turn four: keep your eyes on the terrain.
Scoring
First to 3 direct hits wins the duel — there is no partial credit for near misses. The scoreboard tracks your hits against the CPU's, and your lifetime duel record (wins and losses) is saved in your browser.
