How to play Neon Invaders

Neon Invaders is a classic arcade defense: rows of glowing aliens sweep left and right while drifting closer to your cannon. You are the last line — shoot them all before they land. Three energy shields stand between you and the invasion, but both your lasers and their plasma eat away at them, so they will not last forever. Every cleared formation triggers a faster, deadlier wave.

Controls

On desktop, steer the cannon with the left and right arrow keys, or let it follow your mouse. Press Space to fire — or just click / tap anywhere on the game area. On phones and tablets, drag to slide the cannon and tap to shoot. The cannon fires fast, but each shot travels on its own, so timing matters more than spamming.

Tips & strategy

Clear the outer columns first: narrowing the formation slows the aliens' sideways sweep and buys you thinking time. Camp behind a shield when the aliens start spraying plasma — but keep moving, because one unlucky volley can chew through your cover. Bottom-row aliens score most, so weighing risk versus reward on them is part of the fun. When a wave is almost cleared, expect a long tail: a single fast alien left is the deadliest thing in the game.

Scoring

Top-row aliens are worth 30 points, middle rows 20, and the front rank 10. Each new wave adds a 100-point bonus multiplied by the wave number. Three lives per run — a plasma hit costs one, and if the swarm reaches your line or all three lives are gone, the run ends. Your best score is saved in your browser.
