How to play Neon Lighthouse
Neon Lighthouse is a night-watch strategy game. You are the keeper of the last lighthouse on a rocky neon coast. Ships keep sailing in from the dark — and any ship caught in your sweeping light will steer toward where the beam points. Aim the beam, bend each ship's course through the rock field, and deliver it safely into the glowing green harbor on the far shore.
Three wrecks and the night is over. Every fifth ship you dock raises the wave: ships sail faster and arrive closer together, so you will be juggling two or three hulls in the beam at once. Your best score is saved in your browser — can you keep a perfect night?
Controls
- Aim the beam: move the mouse over the canvas, or drag with your finger
- Rotate: ← / → or A / D
- Start / restart: Space, or the Start button
The beam and the ships
A ship only responds while it is inside the cone of light — the cone reaches about two-thirds across the water, so you must catch ships early. Once lit, a ship turns toward the beam's direction at a fixed rate; heavy ships turn slowly, so lead them: aim slightly ahead of where you want them to go. Drop the beam off a ship and it holds its last heading, which is how you park one ship safely while you rescue the next.
Tips & strategy
Guide ships in a wide arc around the rock cluster in the middle of the bay rather than threading between rocks — one late correction sinks the run. The harbor sits upper-right; the cleanest approach is to catch each ship low, sweep it upward across the beam, and release it so it glides into the green zone. When two ships overlap, steer the faster one first: slow ships forgive, fast ones don't.
Scoring
Every docked ship is worth 100 points, plus a 25-point speed bonus if it reaches the harbor within 20 seconds of entering your beam. Wrecked ships cost one of your three hulls (🚢). Ships that sail past the harbor untouched simply vanish into the night — no points, no penalty. Your best score is stored in your browser.
