How to play Neon Mahjong
Neon Mahjong is classic tile-match solitaire drenched in neon: a four-layer pyramid of 40 glowing tiles, 20 hidden pairs, and a 5-minute clock. Tap any two identical open tiles to remove them. A tile is open only when nothing sits on top of it — covered tiles render dim, so always read the pyramid from the top layer down. Clear all 20 pairs before the timer empties to win. Your fastest clear time saves on the device.
Controls
Select: click or tap a bright (open) tile, then tap its matching twin — or press the on-screen buttons. Deselect: tap the selected tile again. Shuffle: the Shuffle button (3 uses per game) randomly redistributes the remaining tiles. Hint: highlights a guaranteed open pair. Pause: P freezes the clock. Mobile: full touch support; tiles are sized for fingers.
Tips & strategy
Work the pyramid from the top down: freeing upper layers opens far more tiles than picking at the edges. Before every pick, glance at which tiles are covering what — removing the wrong pair can bury the tile you actually need. When no open pairs remain, shuffle immediately rather than staring at the board; every shuffle reopens the puzzle. Save your last shuffle for the endgame, when the board is thin and a single bad layout can stall you. The Hint button never lies — if it finds nothing, shuffling is your only move.
Scoring
There is no point score — the game is a race against the clock. Your clear time is the trophy: under 3 minutes is sharp, under 2 is elite. Best time saves automatically; beat it and the new record sticks.
