How to play Neon Minesweeper
Neon Minesweeper hides 10 mines under a glowing 9×9 grid. Click or tap a tile to reveal what's underneath — each number tells you exactly how many mines touch that tile. Reveal every safe tile without touching a mine and you win. Your very first click is always safe, so open the board anywhere with confidence.
Controls
On desktop, left-click a tile to reveal it and right-click to plant or remove a flag on it. On phones and tablets, tap to reveal and press-and-hold for half a second to flag. Use the buttons under the grid to start a fresh board at any time.
Tips & strategy
Start in a corner or along an edge — open ground gives you more information. A "1" touching a single covered tile marks a definite mine: flag it, then count the remaining covered tiles around its neighbors. Flagging clears the mental fog, so mark every mine you prove before moving on. Never guess a 50/50 if safe tiles remain elsewhere — the clock rewards patience, not luck.
Scoring
Every safe tile you clear adds to your score, and the timer runs until you win or lose. Flagging doesn't score, but every correctly flagged mine keeps your run alive. Your fastest winning time is saved in your browser — try to beat it.
