How to play Neon Othello
Neon Othello is the classic Reversi duel glowing in neon — you play the cyan discs against a cunning pink AI. Place your disc so it traps a straight line of enemy discs between your new disc and one you already own, then every trapped disc flips to your color. When neither player can move, the game ends and the side with more discs on the board takes the win. Corners are priceless and edges are gold, so think before you drop.
Controls
Tap or click any square marked with a glowing green hint dot — those are your legal moves for the turn. The board updates instantly with a flip animation so you can watch your haul. Use Start Game to begin and New game for an instant rematch; everything works with mouse or touch.
Tips & strategy
Chase corners first — a corner disc can never be flipped. Play edges when you can, but avoid handing the AI squares next to an empty corner. Early on, fewer discs is often better: a low disc count keeps your options open while the AI runs out of safe moves. Watch the live disc count and plan two moves ahead.
Scoring
The scoreboard tracks your cyan discs against the AI's pink discs live. The final tally decides the winner — most discs wins, and a 64–0 shutout is the ultimate brag. Your win/loss/draw record is saved so you can track your lifetime score against the machine.
