How to play Neon Rhythm Runner
Neon Rhythm Runner is a race against the beat. Your rider sprints automatically down a neon highway while glowing beat markers stream in from the right along the rhythm track. Every second beat carries a barrier — a spiked neon pylon rolling straight at you. Press SPACE or tap the game area the instant a barrier's marker lands in the glowing beat ring: jump it and you score, miss it and you lose one of your three hearts. Three missed jumps and the run is over. Every 8 cleared barriers the tempo rises, so the markers fly faster and the window for a perfect jump shrinks in feel even though the timing stays honest.
Controls
Desktop: SPACE or the Up arrow jumps. Mobile and touch: tap anywhere on the game area. A jump also triggers if you tap during the countdown — it is just a warm-up hop with no penalty. Start begins a new run; Restart starts over instantly. There is nothing to steer — your only job is timing.
Tips & strategy
Land your press inside 95 milliseconds of the beat for a PERFECT jump worth 100 points; within 190 milliseconds still clears the barrier for 50. Watch the beat ring, not the pylon — the ring pulses on every beat and the marker landing in it is your true cue. Count "one-two" with the pulses to internalize the tempo before the first barrier arrives. Resist mashing: extra hops between barriers do nothing but throw off your rhythm. When the tempo climbs, trust the ring and commit — late panicked taps become misses.
Scoring
PERFECT jumps score 100, clean-but-early-or-late jumps score 50, and consecutive PERFECTs build a combo counter that shows off your streak. Missing a barrier costs one heart and resets your combo. Your highest score is saved in your browser — chase it as the BPM climbs toward 186.
