How to play Neon Rope Swing

Neon Rope Swing is a one-button physics skill game set over a bottomless neon void. Your glowing rider auto-runs forward into the dark — gravity is always pulling down, and the only thing between you and the abyss is your grapple. Press and hold anywhere (or hold Space) to fire a neon tether at the nearest ceiling anchor above you; your rider instantly becomes a pendulum, swinging in a glowing arc. Release at the right moment to fling yourself forward to the next anchor. Golden energy orbs drift along the flight lines — snatch them for bonus points. Red spike mines guard the low air, and falling below the screen ends the run. The farther you fly, the faster everything gets.

Controls

Mouse or touch: press and hold anywhere on the game area to grapple, release to let go. Keyboard: hold Space (or ↑) to grapple, release to let go; Enter starts or restarts from overlays. There is no steering — your release timing is the whole game. If no anchor is in range, keep holding: the grapple retries automatically and fires the instant one comes into reach.

Tips & strategy

Release while swinging forward and slightly upward for maximum distance — letting go at the bottom of the arc wastes your speed downward. Short hops between close anchors are safer than long dramatic swings when mines crowd the low air. Ride high: orbs often trace the ideal high line, so follow the gold. Don’t hold on too long — over-swinging bleeds control and can loop you into a mine. When the speed ramps up, grapple earlier than feels natural; your reaction window shrinks every hundred meters.

Scoring

Your score is your distance in meters plus 25 points per energy orb collected. Cruise speed ramps up the farther you fly, and spike mines spawn denser at long distances. The game-over screen shows your distance, orb count, final score, and your best distance of the session — beat it, then hit Play Again and fly farther.
