How to play Neon Star Sailor
Neon Star Sailor is a gravity-slingshot voyage across 10 sectors. Your ship sits on its launch pad with a limited number of launches per sector. Drag away from the ship and release to fire it into space; the glowing planets you see are gravity wells that bend your trajectory, for better or worse. Touch every star in the sector to clear it. Stars you grab stay grabbed even if the launch ends badly — but slam into a planet, drift off the starfield, or run out of launches and the sector resets.
Controls
On desktop, press and drag anywhere on the starfield, then release — the ship fires in the opposite direction of your drag, and a dotted preview shows the gravity-bent path before you let go. On touch screens, drag with your finger the same way. Prefer keys? Left and Right rotate your aim, Up and Down adjust power, and Space launches. Start begins a fresh voyage; Restart retries the current sector from scratch.
Tips & strategy
Trust the preview dots: they simulate gravity, so a path that threads between two planets on screen will do it in flight. Skimming close to a planet whips you around it — aim slightly inside the curve you want and let gravity finish the job. Spend your first launch of a sector scouting: grab the easy stars first, then spend remaining launches on the tricky ones. Full power is rarely best; a gentle launch gives gravity more time to bend your route. Watch the launch counter — when it hits one, play safe.
Sectors
Ten handcrafted sectors, each with its own pad position, star layout, planet field, and launch budget. Early sectors teach straight shots and gentle bends; later ones demand full slingshot orbits around twin planets and thread-the-needle passes. Your furthest sector is saved in your browser as your best — clear all ten to conquer the voyage.
