How to play Neon Word Hunt
A fresh word search lights up every round: 8 hidden words from one glowing theme — Deep Space, Wild Animals, Sports Arena, Tasty Food, Tech Lab or Ocean Deep — are buried in a 12×12 letter grid. They can run left-to-right, right-to-left, top-to-bottom, bottom-to-top, or diagonally in any direction, so scan the whole board. Drag your finger or mouse in a straight line across the letters of a word to capture it — or tap the first letter, then tap the last — and the word ignites in its own neon color while the word list strikes it through.
Controls
Drag across letters in a straight line (mouse or touch). Tap-tap: tap the first letter of a word, then tap its last letter. 🔀 New puzzle shuffles the same theme into a brand-new grid, and 🎭 Next theme jumps to the next theme. Press ▶ Play to begin.
Scoring and timer
Every captured word scores 10 points per letter — long words pay best. Clear all 8 words to finish the puzzle and earn a speed bonus: the faster you hunt, the bigger the bonus. Your best total score is saved in your browser, and puzzles keep coming with fresh random layouts after every clear.
Tips for word hunters
Rare letters (J, Q, X, Z) are beacons — spot one and a word usually runs through it. Look for unusual letter pairs like QU, CH or PH. Diagonal words love to hide in the corners. Work from the word list and eliminate found words, and don't forget words can run backwards and upside-down.
